Decision: |
Compensation award by the Alberta Land Compensation Board pursuant to the Expropriation Act, R.S.A. 1980, c. E-16. Partial taking of 5.67 acres from a 25 acre parcel developed with an older single family residence constructed in 1955. The property was acquired by way of a Section 30 agreement. Prior to acquisition, the Authority advised the Claimant to cease certain renovations she was making to the house. Major deterioriation to the building resulted. An award was made for the market value of the land taken and damages. Interest was also awarded. |
