Application to the Ontario Municipal Board for determination of compensation pursuant to the Expropriations Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E.26. Full taking of a 0.65 ac. parcel of land located in the City of Toronto. The subject property was developed with an industrial building. The land was expropriated for a street improvement project. The Board awarded $3.3 million for market value of the land taken. It made a further award for several pre and post taking business losses. Interest was awarded on the market value award but not on the business loss award. Costs were also awarded to the Claimants. |
